Royal Mail is the UK's 6th largest employer, with over 130,000 employees delivering to 29 million addresses. 2016 marked their 500th year of delivering post, cementing their position as one of the country's best known brands.

For maximum impact and flexibility we created both interactive and printed versions

We were asked by Royal Mail to create a CR Report that reflected their ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices. In previous years they had opted for a printed publication to run alongside their Annual Report, similar in design and format. However for maximum impact we proposed designing an interactive report with a design tailored to their narrative.

Royal Mail have a well established approach to CR, with initiatives at both company and employee level. Our brief was to collate all these stories into a design that brought them to life in an engaging format.

To give the report an authentic voice, we scoured Royal Mail’s great image library with a focus on ground level employees going about their day. Photographs were mixed with icons and type treatments to highlight key stats and stories.

For maximum flexibility we created an interactive PDF with simple navigation and also converted this into a printed document that could be used by staff internally.
